- How do I get access
to WinFlex Web?
You may register
now to use WinFlex Web, but will not be able to produce illustrations
without approval from at least one participating carrier. After
you complete the Registration information you will be able to
request access from participating carriers. You will be emailed
a confirmation when each carrier approves you to access their
products. For a list of participating carriers see our
Carrier/Contacts page.
- How do I request
additional carriers in WinFlex Web?
Once you have logged into WinFlex Web, you can request access
to additional companies through the Profile page. See Help
for more information. If you would like to see more companies
offer their products in WinFlex Web, let them know! Use the |Add
Companies| section on the Profile page.
- I can't remember
my password, how do I request it?
You may request your password by going to
http://www.winflexweb.com and clicking on the "Forgot your
password?" link. Your password will be emailed to you.
- I can't remember
my username, how do I request it?
You may request your username by sending an email to WebFlexAdmin@ebixlife.com
with your first name, last name, and email address. Please indicate
in the email that you're requesting your username.
- Can I use
my existing WinFlex agents?
Yes, you can upload your existing WinFlex agents for use under
WinFlex Web. See Help for
more info.
- Can I have two
copies of WinFlex Web open at the same time?
No, only a single copy of WinFlex Web can be running at one time
on a computer.
- Can I leave WinFlex
Web running in my browser all day?
No, your WinFlex Web connection has a 30-minute inactivity timer
on it. If you do not make any changes or use WinFlex Web for 30
minutes, the server will disconnect you. You will first be notified
that you are about to be disconnected.
- Can I view reports
if I have a popup blocker?
Popup blockers can prevent you from viewing WinFlex Web
reports. Turn off blockers, or add www.winflexweb.com to the
blocker's trusted site list. Learn More

- Why are some
of my WinFlex companies not showing up in WinFlex Web?
WinFlex Web is available to all WinFlex carriers. As the participating
WinFlex carriers complete their approval for WinFlex Web, you
will be notified of availability. If you would like to see more
companies offer their products in WinFlex Web, let them know!
See Help on how to notify
a carrier of your interest. You can contact the carriers directly
for a report on their progress. The web page below also lists
general WinFlex Web release information.

- Can I use the Print
button on the web browser to print illustrations?
No, your browser does not have any knowledge about what WinFlex
Web is operating or showing on the screen. All illustrations and
other WinFlex Web output should be printed using the Adobe Acrobat
Viewer print button.
- How do I get
updates for WinFlex Web and the companies I use?
When using WinFlex Web, you will automatically be accessing the
latest and greatest releases of the WinFlex Web base system as
well as each of the carriers you have access to.
- How often
is WinFlex Web updated?
Regular maintenance updates on WinFlex Web will be performed weekly
on Thursdays at Midnight Eastern time. The update is scheduled
for 5 minutes at that time. Please make sure you save your data
and are logged out of WinFlex Web prior to midnight on Thursdays.
Carrier updates occur as needed.
- How long does
it take to set up WinFlex Web the first time?
It is a very quick process getting set up on WinFlex Web. Once
you have registered, you be prompted for the one-time download
of the Java plug-in. Times for downloading the plug-in depend
on your Internet connection speed. Click here
for more detailed download time information. You may also want
to upload your agent list from the WinFlex desktop system. See
Help for more info.
- How
long will it take to download the WinFlex Web applet?
Clicking on Start WinFlex Web from the Winflex Web homepage
will automatically initiate the download of the WinFlex Web applet.
The applet is approximately 1MB, which should only require a few moments
to both download and initialize the applet in your web browser, at
which point you can begin using WinFlex Web.
- How
long will it take to download Adobe Reader?
Adobe Reader is approximately 8.6 meg in size. We have found that
the average download time over a 56K modem is 30 minutes to download
and install Adobe Reader. For those of you using a faster connection
such as DSL, Cable Modem, or a T1 line, you will see a significantly
shorter amount of time to download the plug-in (approximately
4 minutes).

Cases
Groups

What is a WinFlex Web Group?
In WinFlex Web a Group is used to share work like Cases and Agents. Using
Groups can save you time by entering Agent information one time and sharing
with the Group. In a call center or office, sharing cases within a Group allows
you to answer anyone's calls about cases.

Who should use a WinFlex Web Group?
WinFlex Web users who have a need to share Cases and/or Agents should create a
Group and add the cases and agents that are needed.

What else is helpful when using Groups?
Using a naming convention for cases that allows other people to find your work
is recommended. You may want to use the Client's first and last name in the
case name to help you locate a case in a list.
Ex: Smith Robert.wfc
or Robert Smith.wfc

Can Brokers be associated with groups?
Brokers cannot be associated with groups. Agents, however, can be assigned to
groups. If a set of Agent information has a broker selected, the Broker
association will be removed if the set of Agent information is assigned to a
group.
